My Role
Lead UX/UI Designer (Enhancement Workstream)
Key Strengths Demonstrated
📁 Quick-Scan Overview
Scope
Rapid, continuous optimization within strict 3-to-4 week agile release cycles.
Partners
Product Owners (POs), Business Analysts (BAs), QA Engineers, and Security Teams.
An agile UX workstream dedicated to driving rapid user-growth feature enhancements, seamless third-party integrations, and urgent risk-mitigation flows for a global, high-traffic airport lounge loyalty platform.
High-velocity prototyping, strategic stakeholder alignment, crisis response, and cross-functional collaboration.
In a high-velocity product environment, the pressure to launch new user-acquisition and partnership features is constant. However, rapidly pushing changes to a complex legacy travel ecosystem frequently risks introducing technical debt, causing cross-functional friction, and creating unexpected security vulnerabilities.
My objective was to lead design iterations that kept feature deployment on schedule while ensuring platform stability and user trust.
🧗 The Challenge: Balancing Velocity with Security
📐 The Strategy: Shifting UX Collaboration Left
Early-Stage Grooming
Collaborated closely with POs and BAs during backlog grooming to understand technical constraints and locate dropout points along the user acquisition funnel.
Rather than treating design as an isolated step prior to handoff, I restructured our workflow to integrate UX directly into the early stage of the development cycle:
Design-QA Integration
Partnered directly with QA engineers during the initial wireframing phase to identify functional edge cases before writing code, saving valuable testing time.

⚾ The Curveball
During an active release sprint, the platform was targeted by a malicious, external SMS phishing attack. Protecting our users’ account security immediately became a top priority, requiring us to shift focus and implement a solution right away.
🚨 The Crisis: Safeguarding Users Under Pressure

🤝🏻 The Team Alignment
Designing security walls under intense time pressure naturally creates team friction, as stakeholders worry about adding friction to the user experience.
To maintain momentum, I stepped in to facilitate the rapid design response. I designed and prototyped intuitive, secure user-verification flows, and used active listening and targeted design walkthroughs to realign our cross-functional partners. By showing how we could maintain security without hurting the onboarding experience, we gained alignment as a team and shipped the update within a tight 48-hour window.

💡 The Solution: Agile, Low-Friction Growth
Low-Friction Security Patches
Deployed secure, multi-factor verification flows that resolved the phishing threat while minimizing checkout and onboarding friction.
I delivered and documented three key product enhancements:
Partner-Ready Integrations
Designed modular UI components that allowed third-party travel partners to integrate seamlessly into our existing application flow.

Acquisition Funnel Optimization
Redesigned key user registration pages, eliminating unnecessary form fields to simplify the path to signup.
🚀 Measurable Value Delivered
⏱️ 100% On-Time Deployment: Kept our fast-paced, 4-week release schedules running smoothly, even when handling urgent security updates.
🔒 Threat Mitigation with Zero Drop-offs: Successfully launched critical security verification updates without negatively impacting core user onboarding or conversion metrics.
🤝 Better Cross-Functional Workflows: Built a strong, collaborative relationship between the Design and QA teams, ensuring all future releases matched our core design system.
